They should never have hired Kristen Stewart for this movie (Not that she did a bad job, she was actually very good) by hiring her they were aiming at her fan base which is largely young teens. That means that a movie which is essentially a war/action adventure movie was so toned down and sedate that all thats left is a kids movie with some fighting. With an actress like Amanda Seyfried (or someone like that) this could have been a really cool movie! 6/10 It is never a good sign when a trailer feels like its selling a different movie to the one you watched

This movie was better than what I thought it was going to be. It wasn't spectacular, but a good watch and something I'd watch again. I'd give it a 6 or 7 out of 10. Nice to see Kristen Stewart in a role that is "non-twilight" (not that I don't like those movies). Charlize Theron did an excellent job playing the evil queen.

Truer to the original fairy tale(all were quite dark and very undisneyish)
I applaud Charise for trying to stretch as an actress and also for showing very unflattering aging scenes.
The Huntsman (who I've only seen as Thor) shows once again that as an actor he makes a fine football player. I enjoyed the rest of the support cast. The cgi effects weren't overblown and some of the landscape cinematography really put me in the setting. I still enjoy the sizing technology, solid character actors shrunk to dwarf size, too cool. Could have been an excellent movie, but for the acting and limited dialog. No chemistry anywhere but a bit between the dwarves. Snow was just flat. Pretty face though.

Conceptually it was an interesting story, but visually unimpressive.
